Nathan Ayres


My name's Nate.  I'm a 3D Artist, Character Animator, and overall pretty cool guy.

I have a huge skillset that includes extensive experience with Maya, 3DS Max, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, and Flash.  But I specialize in Character Animation for both 3DS Max and Maya. 

I've been the sole 3D Artist and Video Editor at Media Marketers since 2009.  Because I'm used to working by myself, I've got experience with the complete CGI pipeline, including modeling, texturing, rigging, animating, rendering and compositing.  That's in addition to my traditional media experience such as video editing, sound editing and even voice acting.

I've also been a Senior Developer on the Black Mesa Development team since 2005.  We've been developing a total conversion mod called Black Mesa for the last 8 years.  About 75% of the game was released for free on September 2012, and it's been downloaded an estimated 6 million times.  My role on the team is Lead Animator, so I managed anywhere from 2-3 animators at a given time and myself animated hundreds of sequences for the game.
